Down came the rain!

Down came the rain   coloured pencil in my sketchbook approx 20x20cm   ©2013Lisa Le Quelenec

Summer left us very quickly here in Dorset and we have been having some 'weather' after the heat of summer it has been quite a change. I've been sitting in the conservatory enjoying the sound of the rain this afternoon. It was lovely to feel cozy and warm whilst listening to the downpour. I'm just glad I didn't have to be out in it. As I type patches of blue are appearing.

Dear Lisa, the summer left us here too, but still is coming back for one day or two. I am glad when I am listening to the rain sound f.e. from bed and don´t have to go out :-). I like very much your drawing with colored pencils, the light you captured is so great, and the colors. Really love it. Have a nice autumn days without wet shoes!! (like me yesterday :-)

The colours and energy in your colored pencil painting Lisa is really wonderful. I hope the better weather appears for you soon. It is a mild sunny day here in the highlands though not perfect as it is very windy!

Hi Lydie, thank you. I hope you have had some of the sunshine that followed. It's been nice once the fog has lifted.

Hi Humbird, welcome and many thanks.

Hello Maggie, thank you. We have had some lovely rain. Are you missing it?

Hi Marcella, I hope you have dried out now. The sun is shining now and golden autumn is here. - my favourite season.

Hi Caroline, thank you. I love how changeable autumn is and how the light changes. Windy weather for walks on the beach are always so exhilarating aren't they.
