Three little paintings on linen canvas boards. A combination of the gull ideas that are soaring around in my head and the shafts of light paintings from earlier this year. I still feel like I am feeling my way here unsure which direction to take..... I think I will explore and experiment with some printmaking next.

All three available individually at Seaside Studios UK on Etsy.

I love the serenity and cleanness of these :)

Good morning Lisa!... I feel that we share a feeling of ambivilence at the moment aa to where we both are to proceed in our work. Proper preparation and timing are everything in painting.

When the "belfry" has bats flying willy-nilly... in every direction... it pays just to pause and reflect... or play with smaller ideas. Sometimes... smaller pieces... are just fragments of edges of a larger and more meaningful picture. Like a jigsaw puzzle!

I loved the quiet movement of the gull in each piece... almost lost in an equally peaceful sky. Made me work with you to find meaning!

Good luck and Happy Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

Thank you Rhonda! Just what I am aiming for :o)

;o) definitely bats in my belfry Bruce!
I'm hoping a few threads are going to knit together soon but for now I am a little unsure how this will happen. It has given me a good 'excuse' for spending some time doing other things and looking at the work of others that is completely different. It is good and necessary to refill the well.
I rather think what feels like the sudden appearance of shorter and gloomy days is taking it's toll. Sunshine today though so onwards and upwards....
