Just my luck it was overcast - the lucky dolphin swan against me ;o)

Are you coming back to Dorset this year?Lisa Le Quelenechttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15939073566444931704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893909553937403783.post-61092678587316794932012-05-14T11:20:47.364+01:002012-05-14T11:20:47.364+01:00Yes indeed, I certainly did see the Big Moon. I've never seen dolphins in the wild (not here in the UK anyway) so I think that must have been a good omen.
Love the sketches, Lisa. Gouache is great for sketching isn't it? Hope to see you back with some more gorgeous Dorset landscapes soon!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14423986562925121890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893909553937403783.post-20497128467857503042012-05-11T15:42:22.983+01:002012-05-11T15:42:22.983+01:00There's a coincidence Bruce, I lurked on the b...There's a coincidence Bruce, I lurked on the beach collecting treasure too :o) my suitcase was twice as heavy coming back as it was going because of all the seaglass/china, driftwood, shells and stones. I'm sure some of these will make their way into some work in the form of colours and textures. Isn't the beach exciting!

It's great to hear from you, have a lovely weekend.Lisa Le Quelenechttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15939073566444931704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893909553937403783.post-80093119341182848632012-05-10T23:29:36.405+01:002012-05-10T23:29:36.405+01:00Welcome back from Home Lisa!... HA HA!!

Your ferry sketch certainly captures a sense of the weather that you mention... very cool and questionable (for sketching at least).

"Sketch" weather for painting painting perhaps... but wonderful for family visiting time... and "lurking" .... as my two lads referred to our beach combing trips... in search of pirate treasure.

Good luck with the revved up activity in preparations for Summer Exhibitions!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
BruceBruce Shermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111784187521969252noreply@blogger.com
