The depth you've achieved is masterful and the colours beautiful.

I keep looking at a water scene that I drive past every day and want to paint. A very inviting piece indeed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14423986562925121890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893909553937403783.post-27762453546621285672011-08-10T08:56:53.089+01:002011-08-10T08:56:53.089+01:00Hi Roger, thank you. I've been looking a lot at the semi abstract river reflections pair that I did and wanted to use the same palette in a softer way. I think it's a rebellion against all the blues I've been painting lately. Have a great day.Lisa Le Quelenechttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15939073566444931704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893909553937403783.post-23648061814823635302011-08-09T22:02:08.653+01:002011-08-09T22:02:08.653+01:00This is very well done and such a complete change ...This is very well done and such a complete change from your usual colour vocabulary. The foreground is striking and makes a very positive statement. Also, the tones used in the middle distance are just right creating a boundary between apparent reality and the imaginary landscape beyond. The eyes are drawn to the faintly described line of fence posts and the suggestion of a mist shrouded distant horizon. The fields of Avalon spring to mind.Roger Seddonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09068263545031683561noreply@blogger.com
