Lisa, this is so...o good. You have captured the reeds to perfection and I really do like the way you have indicated the gentle ripples in the water. The composition works although there was a risk of producing a painting in two halves. The furthest small cluster of short reeds emerging from the water carry the eye diagonally across the painting and the darkest tones in the bottom right corner anchor the image and make a firm statement. Well done.
I've been finishing off framing today which sometimes is nice meditative work but today was a real chore. When I turned on the laptop and saw all these lovely, encouraging comments it really boosted my day. Thank you all so much my friends, it means a lot.
