A medley of work from the last few weeks....

A medley of work from the last few weeks ©2017LisaLeQuelenec

A virus has been keeping me away from work so I haven't progressed as far as I had hoped to with the gulls. I thought I would share a collection of some of the work that has been going on in the background whilst the gull experiments have been going on - all these pieces are available at SeasideStudiosUK

I'm not sure why a ball of string...it just looked like it needed to be drawn and one thing led to another...

  1. Oh, that ball of string is beautiful!!! So glad you chose it. I love all of these and am sorry you've been ill. Hope you are back to 100% soon - take care so you're well by the holidays!

  2. Good morning Lisa!... What a wonderful medley this grouping is. Quality... variety and technical brilliance in my humble opinion.

The ball of string hardly seems in any way unnatural in its appearance in this medley. Such a beautiful collection of work needs a "binding together" agent - a spine if you will to keep the ideas intact.

I think it a wonderful metaphor (though purely unintended). And it surely works sublimely for me! Bravo!

    Good Painting and Print making!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  4. Hopefully this is a good morning for you, Lisa, and that you're feeling better every day!
These are all SO lovely. It is impossible to choose a favorite. I'm happy you threw in the ball of string ( I agree with Bruce!).

  5. Hi Rhonda, thank you for your good wishes. There was something about the line of unwound string that seemed so elegant it had to be recorded. I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving break with lots of love and laughter.

Good morning Bruce, and thank you kind Sir! I like the idea of 'binding' it brought lots of images to mind (I have been looking at lots of pebbles, seaweed and barnacles lately and how things are physically bound and joined together for their greater good.) Maybe my subconcious is leading me somewhere, maybe it's just fluke (most likely ;o) ) but thank you for pointing it out.

Thank you Judy, I'm glad you like it. I enjoyed putting it together :o)

Hi Chris, I think I might be starting to get there now. This virus has felt like a gift that kept on giving for a while. Still I'm usually very lucky healthwise so I really have nothing to complain about and today the sun is shining which is quite the best medicine. Thank you about the pictures. I hope you too had a lovely Thanksgiving making new memories for your new home.
