Have you ever been to the beach really, really early in the morning before anyone else has arrived with a low tide and pristine virgin sand? You can be alone with your thoughts enjoying the breeze listening to your breath and the sound of your footsteps that dissipates into the big empty stillness as you are slowly warmed by the sun.
The colour chart from a few posts back is certainly coming in useful. Just a touch of colour in the mix and the atmosphere has changed.
These paintings are available at Seaside studios UK on etsy

Beautiful. I love the emotion of the scene.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful - and that green in the sand in the first one = perfect!! I love this new series you’re working on :)
ReplyDeleteLisa - such gorgeous simplicity that makes these both outstanding. I can feel the sea breeze and the soft sand. You have created not only beauty but captured that special atmosphere as well. Bet you are giving someone a lot of treats these days. :)! Have a great day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the hint of red in the silhouette!
ReplyDeleteHi Maywyn, thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rhonda I thought I would try to go a little out of my colour comfort zone. I am enjoying this series immensely.
Thank you Debbie. There is a lot of treating going on and a lot of training too. I keep having to think up new things to do with her to keep her from getting bored. Now the weather has turned it is wiping muddy paws on the mat before coming inside. She thinks I'm quite mad ;o) -All good fun.
Thank you Judy. I wasn't sure if it would work but thought I would go for it anyway.
Oh, what stunning pieces, Lisa, in this beautiful series of yours! I can feel the change in the weather!
ReplyDeleteNo, I have never been to the beach that early in the morning, but I definitely want to experience it now that I've ready your lovely post!!
Thank you Chris. It is of course much easier to get up early in the lighter warmer months but now that sunrise is later and the chill is in the air people tend to arrive much later. Swings and roundabouts but I love this time of year.
