'I started early, took my dog,
and visited the sea;
The mermaids in the basement
Came out to look at me.'

Hello Lisa,
ReplyDeleteThough your thoughtful title and gem of a painting create sufficient appeal to attract the eye and the mind of your viewer... it is the very creative still life that you build to incorporate the painting and other seaside treasures that rivets my eye ever so long.
Bravo... again! Your deep understanding of your subject and your reaching out... ever beyond pushing pigment... continually makes your site very special. Strokes beyond most.
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat Bruce said - ditto, my friend. I couldn't say it any better:)
ReplyDeleteLove the quote, too!
Lovely painting with the setting you made - small gems to view, a breathing in and out type of moment, nothing more is needed or wanted. Thank you for this!
ReplyDeleteThank you Bruce, the bottle is looking a little fuller now with extra pebbles and some poppy seed heads that grew themselves in the garden :o) All the bits and bobs I pick up tell me what colours I need to use in the paintings. It took me a long time to realise that was what was happening it was unconcious for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThank you Judy, best wishes.
Hi Chris, thank you for stopping you must be really busy with all your classes - I appreciate it.
Thank you Rhonda, I hope you are getting time to breathe and just be. I am sorry you are having a tough time x
Lisa just catching up on your post. I love this painting - you know how to capture the pure beauty of a lovely moment. Such a peaceful scene too. Hugs
