Spiral for October, a Lightening Whelk I believe. A really weighty and solid specimen which I hope I have conveyed. - Only two more drawings to go for this series.

    I'm really amazed by your drawings of whelks. For me those curves are so hard to get ... I can never get them quite right. And the color and texture are wonderful too

    The Shell Portrait IX reminded me of Misty Copeland, the prima ballerina, who just retired - on pointe!
