Sky Study I watercolour 18x9cm ©2013Lisa Le Quelenec |
Yesterday the evening sky was stunning. Looking from the studio window trying to memorise the changing colours, watching the gulls gliding lazily and listening to the blackbird singing the sun down as he does each day. Beautiful clear skies and gentle colours that I had to try and capture.
Ooh... makes me twitchy to pick up a brush... sort of. ;-) Lovely palette, and a nice balance of control/surrender.
ReplyDeleteLovely gentle colors! Thanks for sharing with us the spring spirit! I would like to have this watercolor painting in large format on my wall, because the view from my window is not springy at all - it´s snowing again. Very nice meditative work Lisa
ReplyDeleteOh, beautiful sky and attractive colors!
ReplyDeleteIt's fantastic when the evening sky takes on these beautiful colours that you have captured so well but, even though Mr Blackbird is full of the joys, us Scots know it ain't spring yet! Just because you live practically on the equator :o)
ReplyDeleteMorning Sherrie, thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Marcela, thank you. It looks very cold in your part of the world. (I saw a glimpse on the weather report.) They say we may have a snow flurry tomorrow because of the cold wind that you are sending us. Though it's chilly I don't think it's cold enough but we will see. Stay warm.
Thank you Lydie :o)
I hope you are keeping your thermals on David ;o) Flip flops and t-shirts down here (not quite yet) It's getting better now the days are drawing out again though.
I like this one very much.
ReplyDeletewonderful, you're very talented !
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Lisa!... This one catches that golden light that is so intriguing and inspiring at the beginning and end of each day!
ReplyDeleteA lot said... with so little! A germ!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Thank you Veronika! :o)
ReplyDeleteThank you Miss Doodles!
Hi Bruce, thank you. You are right it has been a little germ ;o) I have had a heavy bout of sky sketching. The germ is multiplying and developing into full blown painting ideas now. Best wishes.
