-7 degrees last night! It was a bit of a shock to the system on the school run this morning. Thankfully the sun is shining though it is still cold and frost still covers the garden. I am sitting in the warm drinking hot coffee and thinking of the warmer summer days and thought I would share these photos. Hopefully they will warm you too if you are feeling the chill.
This first one is for you Rhonda I hope the migraines settle for you soon.

Oh, thank you so much for that beautiful photo of the bee on the teasel!! I like the others, too - that black house is right by a channel of water? Interesting with lots of textures, you're right. Sorry about the cold. We, too, are finally saying a rather gruff hello to winter :).
Dear Lisa - wonderful summer photos. Since it has grown colder in our part of the world as well - very refreshing to see sunshine. Hope your Dec. is off to a lovely start. Have a great weekend.
Hi Bruce, I hope things are well on your side of the world and the wind has brought only good news. Stay warm.
Best wishes.
Hi Rhonda, I thought of you as soon as I came across that photo from summer. The Black House sits on a narrow slip of land that is at the enterance of Christchurch bay where the river meets the sea. It really is a narrow bit that is being erroded fairly fast. It is possible that it may disappear within a couple of generations. I hope you are staying warm :o)
Hi Debbie, thank you. How is your first winter in the new place going? It's exciting to see the seasons from the perspective of a new area. Best wishes.
