A new element/technique cutting into the backing paper. In this one I used a punch. I have been looking again at old photographs and making thumbnails of ideas - very graphic and only four tones - an avenue to explore later I think.

There are warmer temperatures forecast for us for the next few days with a bit more sunshine. My palette is feeling it too. I don't want to talk too soon, given that we had such a lot of snow in March last year, but is Spring around the corner?

Here it comes…the relentless onslaught – the inevitable attack – as the moon pushes her tide toward the shore. The sentries stand firm; robust and proud against the battering of the spring tides.
