Speed sketching

Two recent pages from my pocket sketchbook that I use on my walks. Trying to sketch the dogs as they run around and play is a challenge the birds gliding were much easier. The pages are about 13x13cm so each little sketch is really tiny but sometimes it's good to focus on an element rather than the big view all the time.

I really, really, really must do more focused sketching like you have here Lisa ... today I think! Love all those soaring birds on one sheet - what a fantastic decorative paper that would make :)

Hi there Lisa!.... Gestural sketching... is the underpinning of good painting!

As with Japanese art... it is what isn't said... that is heard!

Lovely studies that can only add to your already beautiful work!

Thanks for your words in my current post. They stimulated a "word thought"... back to "You"

Good Sketchin'... and Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

Hi Michael, your comment has sparked off another idea for me. I'm always doodling repeat patterns and this might be a starting point for another. Thank you very much for that. Have fun sketching.

Hi Bruce, love the song! Thank you. Hope you are having a bouncing kinda day.
