Old Harry Rocks

Harry Rocks
acrylic on paper 30x10cm

One legend says that the Devil (traditionally known as "Old Harry") slept on the rocks, another local legend says that the rocks were named after Harry Paye, an infamous Poole pirate.

....I might just have to watch The Goonies (again.....) now.

Thanks Willie for your comment on the painting. It's funny I did think of you as I wrote about the Goonies, I'm not sure why... you do have two eyes don't you? ;o)

Hi Gary, thank you for stopping by. I popped over to your blogs, what a beautiful part of the world you live in. There's no shortage of inspiration there. I really enjoyed looking at the mini paintings, I love small formats.
