Like many people I've watched the news in horror as images of the earthquake and subsequent tsunami played out over the news. This morning I've heard reports of the second explosion at the nuclear plant. Each of these events devastating and truly disastrous in themselves but to have one on top of another is just unimaginable. My thoughts are with all the people this has affected, I just can't begin to imagine what they are going through.

The human race is constantly humbled by the forces and power of nature and we are reminded that our tenure on this planet is short and fragile. One is left with feelings of inadequacy knowing that there is nothing constructive, other than the offer of financial support that we can do as individuals to help the plight of the victims. The Japanese race is resilient but it will take a long time for the country and its people to recover from these disasters. Our hearts go out to them.

The earthquake and tsunami are devastating and unbelievable to see the effects and pain caused.

The colours in your sketch are lovely and the grasses give such texture.

Summed up very well Roger, 'inadequate' is the word I struggled to find. The other one was 'useless'.

Thank you Jeanette.
