A quiet evening

A Quiet Evening

Some evenings feel so quiet and still. This is another painting inspired by the view from Southbourne beach with Hengistbury Head peeking through the haze. I've used lots of glazes again, whispers of colour that gradually build up layer upon layer.

Hi Lisa, 'Silent tide' is very beautiful and ' A Quiet evening' has a lovely atmosphere, the use of colour is really nice in both, I really like the natural colours in both pieces. Very restful work to gaze upon.

Hi Lisa. This is beautiful. I love the harmonious palette you have used and that wave is just fantastic. There's nothing quite like a long stroll along an empty beach in the evening, especially a Dorset one :)

Hello Caroline, thank you. I think I must be in a mellow mood ;o)

Hi Michael, I'd been missing the beach after the work on the river and it felt good to get back.

Thank you both for commenting.
