Charcoal & chalk on toned paper 30x40cm ©2012 Lisa Le Quelenec

I love using charcoal and chalk and I wonder why I don't use it more often.....

Oh yes, why not using it more often. So beautiful!

This is beautiful, very atmospheric. I think that is the beauty of charcoal, its drama. I too love drawing with it.

This is a beautiful dramatic piece, Lisa. A different medium and treatment and yet unmistakably yours! I think you should do more in charcoal and chalk too!

Hi there Lisa!... I wonder as well... given the exquisite atmospheric and moody beauty portrayed in this piece!

A nice change from all of your bluish regulars!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

Thank you Lydie!

Hi Jeanette, your right charcoal does have drama in an understated way. I like it's immediacy.

Hi Michael, I hope you are well. Maybe I should work on a series of charcoals.... food for thought.

Hello Bruce, it's that time of year when my thoughts start turning to colourful greys in anticipation of the dull winter days. I'm enjoying the colours of autumn too though.
