Through the woods

Through the Woods   acrylic on paper   37x15cm   ©2013Lisa Le Quelenec

It feels strange to be posting a snowy painting today when outside the sun is shining. It's so beautiful and I feel like I'd nearly forgotten what it looked like.

I especially like the long, narrow format with the two diagonal sloping hills against the (almost) vertical tree-trunks. Looks bloomin' cold...reminds me of last Christmas Eve when a hush fell over the land.

ps: I am not a robot!

Don´t worry Lisa :) your winter paintings aren´t cold as a winter but very quiet and warm. Lovely trees. Today is thaw here too and sun is shinning. So hopeful!!! Have a nice shiny day.

Thank you David. It always surprises me how much a bit of snow can absorb so much sound. I'm expecting a bit more sunshine this weekend down here, I hope it makes it up to you too.

Hi Marcela, glad it's warming up for you too. A bit of sunshine makes all the difference at this time of year.

Thank you Jane :o)

Hi there Lisa!... Great composition + warm colour = Huge success!!!

No cold feeling in this one. Winter needn't just be that ... right? You have proven the fact!

Good (Winter) Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
