The lower painting is actually portrait format and should be turned 90 degrees clockwise. For some reason Blogger will only load the photo in landscape format. The paintings are for sale in my Etsy store in the studies section here.

I love painting feathers with all their subtleties. I will never run out of subjects as friends have started to collect them for me now too. I'd love to get a blue wing jay feather and live in hope of finding one on my walks by the river where I see them frequently. So far I've not had any luck.

I love your delicate touch with these delicate objects. Now, I'll be looking for dropped bluejay feathers on my deck - we have a dozen of them at the feeders in the mornings making a ruckus and surely some feathers should drop once in a while?

Such delicate work, the detail is really beautiful.Hope you find the blue jay feather. Wondering if you are getting all of this heavy rain.

Thank you Judy!

Hi Rhonda, thank you. It would be really wonderful to have one of those feathers. The colouring looks so beautiful. You are lucky having them come to your feeders. They must really brighten things up!

Hi Caroline, thank you. We have had some lovely heavy rain which has cooled things down a bit. Saved a job of watering the garden too. Blue skies again today though. When we had the really hot temperatures I found it a bit too much tbh and had to stay in the shade.

Hi Carol, thank you and welcome. Off to visit your blog now....
