Storms End

Storms End   17x17cm watercolour on paper   ©2015Lisa Le Quelenec

With all the printmaking going on I have made a little time for painting too. A small painting inspired by the end of some wild weather. This painting is available at my Etsy store here

The monochrome with just the hint of yellowish tone is gorgeous!! And the paper looks very textured -especially the foreground water. Lovely work!

Such a lovely fresh looking watercolour. It looks like an English seascape those colours are warmer then here in the north on the coast. You should be having milder weather than us! You have been busy Lisa all those beautiful prints are a treat to the eye!

Hi Rhonda, thank you The paper was Arches rough. Lovely to work on for a change. I used to use it all the time but switched to the other extreme of hot press a while back. I am feeling very experimental at the moment. I think it's the influence of the print making.

Thank you Caroline, I really have been busy. I seem to be making lots of work but not getting the time to settle at the computer to post much. My head is buzzing with too many ideas and I need to slow the chatter a bit I think. - I love your latest oil, very atmospheric!
