Above the inspiration for this set of paintings....one evening when the teal sea complimented the reflections of the setting sun. The warm colours vivid in my memory and in opposition to the brisk chill of the evening. It was nose bitingly cold and stunningly beautiful.
Below the sequence of how they were painted, in which I hope I have shown the movement of the tide.

Lisa - these are just gorgeous. You have certainly captured the light of the sky with the contrast of the sea. Beautiful friend. Have a good weekend...hope you get a few more warm days before winter arrives. Hugs!
Oh, these are so beautiful!!!
Hi Debbie, thank you! I think Winter arrived today, it feels very chilly and the thick jumpers are out. It was a quick walk this morning and no dilly dallying ;o) Best wishes for a warm week.
Thank you so much Rhonda. I am trying to be braver in my colour choices and this combination has been playing in my mind for a while. Best wishes for a creative week.
