This test proof print and the subsequent layers of mixed media have given me space to explore how I will ink the edition of drypoint prints. I frequently use this process in my work using the test pieces to experiment and develop how an edition or series will be created. Not all the mixed media experiments end up as finished pieces of work in their own right but I feel that this one does. It will be different enough due to the way the range of materials have affected the initial print to stand on its own. More often they end up in sketchbooks or used in collages.
Over the next couple of weeks I will work on printing the drypoints without adding to the individual prints and will post a comparison for you to see.
