A colour mixing test

An experiment in colour mixing - I chose a some pebbles from my collection and gave myself ten minutes to mix colour swatches matching them using watercolours. No time to think or worry about tone or shape, just instinctively mix colour.

I quite enjoyed the challenge and I think I might do some more with other collections using different materials.

You know it's funny, and l'll let you into a little secret.....!
Art and Music go hand in hand, when 'I' see a piece artwork, whatever it may be, l always relate it to a song/tune. I know my music, it's in the blood. Even seeing these pebbles.
I thought of Donovan....Colours..(1965). Or....Vanessa Williams.....
Colours of the Wind...(1995).
And, the Mona Lisa (No pun intended).
is great to admire, with the theme from the Godfather.....!
It's my ring tone on my mobile too! Lovely.:)

Thank you all :o) !

I've been looking at what I've painted in December and Jan so far and decided I was being far to gray. (This weather has an influence in more ways than one.) I'm keeping the pebbles on my desk as a reminder to keep colourful.
